Wildlife Education - Techniques for the Safe Removal of Raccoons from Attics in Westchester County, NY

Westchester County Raccoon Control & Removal

I recommend Kris of TriState Wildlife for raccoon removal and wildlife removal in the Westchester County area. I have spoken with the owner of TriState Wildlife, and he fully understands New York raccoons and their behavior, and the proper methods for humane removal. For me to recommend him, he has agreed to abide by rules of humane wildlife removal, all Westchester County County and New York wildlife laws, and have a thorough understanding of wildlife biology and the concerns associated with critter removal, such as the welfare of the animals, the presence of baby raccoons in the attic, and the need to perform complete wildlife removal services with permanent results, utilizing techniques such as home inspections, preventative repairs, and animal waste cleanup.

TriState Wildlife has this to say about their wildlife and raccoon removal company: TriState Wildlife is an owner-operated business committed to the highest level of customer service - we provide same-day or next-day service, show up on time, and treat customers the way we'd want to be treated. Our goal is to solve your specific wildlife problem permanently - where other companies carelessly lay some traps on the ground and catch (and charge for) anything, we target the specific nuisance animals, perform high quality animal damage repairs, clean animal waste, and more. We specialize in dealing with animals inside attics and buildings, but excel at all aspects of nuisance wildlife control, from a snake in the pool to bats in the attic. Give me, Matt, a call, and I will be happy to discuss your wildlife problem with you.

Example Raccoon Control Emails from Westchester County, NY:

Hi there, I am writing from Yonkers, NY with a racoon question. I recently discovered racoons (well actually one mama with a litter) living in the crawlspace under my house. It turns out she's probably had several litters down there and we finally had someone trap her and her babies and remove them safely. My question is about excrement - they left behind an incredible amount of feces and urine in the crawlspace. Is this something that a professional company has to handle or can me or my husband do this work safely. My home insurance doesn't cover this damage... and a restoration company gave me an estimate of $3500!!!! (highway robbery). Any insight is greatly appreciated! Thanks kindly, Anita
Was wondering if I trap the mother raccoon that I can somehow lure her 2-week old raccoon babies into a trap after the mother is gone??? I don’t want to go under our home’s crawl space if I can help it to get the babies out. Thanks for any tips. Sam

No chance of that happening. The babies must be removed by hand.
I don't want anyone else but you for this job! After reading your article I realize at this point there must be babies involved. They sure look cute, but I can't sleep any longer listening to the noises above my head. The attic is my daughters bedroom and it is completely drywalled in. They are behind the wall in a crawl space, they dug a hole in the side of the house. I don't want to fill it and have them die inside. Help David! Last night I was pounding on the walls and windows trying to scare them away (too late for that!) and I put my hand right through the window. I am a single Mother of three and need fearless man for this job. I am afraid of the raccoons. Celeste in Cleveland Heights, Ohio

My response: Of course, I am from Orlando, so I can't help you. Raccoons in the attic are tough - you might want to hire a local company, or find a fearless man in your area.
