Fort Lauderdale Raccoon Control & Removal
| I recommend Wildlife Removal Services, Inc. for raccoon removal and wildlife removal in the Fort Lauderdale area. I have spoken with the
owner of Wildlife Removal Services, Inc., and he fully understands Florida raccoons and their behavior, and the proper methods for humane removal. For me to recommend him, he has agreed to abide by
rules of humane wildlife removal, all Broward County and Florida wildlife laws, and have a thorough understanding of wildlife biology and the concerns associated with critter removal, such as the welfare
of the animals, the presence of baby raccoons in
the attic, and the need to perform complete wildlife removal services with permanent results, utilizing techniques such as home inspections,
preventative repairs, and animal waste cleanup. | |

Hi, David, The mother raccoon, and at least one kit, have a nest resting on the closed flue just over the fireplace in my Ft. Lauderdale home. My plan is to "encourage" the family to leave by unpleasant smells, add a rain cover to the top of the chimney, and put coyote urine crystals within the rain cover. I have seen the kit crawl out of the chimney, so I know it can get out. Anything I have left out? Thanks for your help, Suzanne
My mom's neighbor had a nest of raccoons in her attic, but the mother finally decided to move the 3 babies and they were gone for a couple of weeks. Last night, the babies were hanging out on my mom's roof top just above the front door. No sign of mom, and we didn't want her tearing into the attic like the neighbor's house (BIG MESS THERE). So, we carefully netted the babies and took them into the woods down the road, but mom is hanging out on the roof now. How long will she stay there? Will she eventually go away? HELP FROM FORT LAUDERDALE
Hi David. I just read you Raccoons in the Attic guide -- thank you for all of the great information! I do have a nest of baby raccoons in my attic and I was wondering in there is any way to determine how old they are. I hear some noises (perhaps cooing) but not much moving around except for the mother. Also, they are in a wall that is accessible from inside my house. Would it be easier to try to get them out now or wait until they are old enough to walk out with the mother? Thank you for your help. Debbie
Thank-you for such thorough information about raccoons in the attic. Where are you located? We are in southern FL and there are raccoons and older babies in my father-in-laws attic. He lives alone and my husband and I need help. We had our pest control guy set some traps but I can see that they doe't know what they are doing. Can you help? Sincerly, Edna

Please be kind to raccoons! They are intelligent animals, and believe it or not, they definitely have emotions! |
